Raspberry zero 2 Wifi slow (powermanagement)

the Raspberry is a very useful and funny small computer. I use them for running in docker a node-red instance. Making modbus RTU to modburTCP bridge or smiliar thing. One i have also a 4 Relais board on it. So connectivity is really important.

BUT: the Raspberry is small and trained to be very power efficient. So the Wifi is by standard also in PowerManagement Mode ON and the save power but also slows WifiLink down ;(

How to switch OFF powerManagement:

pi@rasppi0:~ $ cat /etc/systemd/system/wifipower.service
[Service]
Type=oneshot
RemainAfterExit=yes
ExecStart=/sbin/iw dev wlan0 set power_save off

[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target
--

To enable

sudo systemctl enable wifipower.service --now
or
sudo systemctl enable wifipower.service 
sudo systemctl start wifipower.service

So network is more stable thus wifi is alwasy not the best connectivity. a cable is a cable 😉

How to check if it was successful?

sudo /sbin/iwconfig
